Sintered Stone represents the next generation of surface materials. The best way to understand it is in relation to more established surfaces.
Granite, formed over millennia under intense heat and pressure beneath the earth’s surface represents at times, a perfect bond between minerals. Unfortunately, this is inconsistent, and veins and crystals, while beautiful, can represent weakness and porosity. Quartz, while engineered to remove the porosity while retaining strength, is supported by resins and binders, which are comparitively weaker than the Quartz used in its’ construction. Porcelain is incredibly heat resistant, yet at the same time brittle, and subject to cracking.
Sintered stone takes the essence of these materials, and fuses them together under intense heat and vibrocompression to create pure, clean surfaces which are incredibly resistant to daily rigours.
