Quartz worktops are created by binding together crystals of natural Quartz with a combination of resins and dyes. The natural Quartz crystals result in a highly durable worktop, which is resistant to moisture, impact, heat and scratching. The natural stone crystals used in Quartz worktops can vary in size, from a fine grain, to a thick cast mosaic.
As an engineered stone, Quartz worktops invariably have at least one of a few aesthetic distinctions from their natural stone counterparts. Namely, improved consistency in colour palette; the characteristic ‘peppered’ appearance of Quartz; bright colouration and/or the inclusion of mirrored flecks which add a sparkle depending on viewing angle.
