Kitchen Worktop Prices
Corian & Solid Surface Prices
Solid surface worktops offer clean, consistent and high quality finishes which are easily cared for and easily repaired. As a man made material, Solid Surface worktops can have highly attractive designs, and have the highest degree of flexibility for fitting.
Solid Surface Material Pricing
Our solid surface collection has the widest range of costing of any material. Prices range from £63.85 to £669.83 per linear metre, with premium designer styles from Avonite and Hanex populating many of high-end styles.
Corian is priced from £120 to £170 in a number of limited styles. The styles stocked are sourced from ex-stock inventories of lines which are no longer part of the Corian range.
Solid Surface Fabrication Costs
Easily machinable, solid surface worktops can be fabricated at a fraction of the cost of natural and engineered stone products such as Granite and Quartz. The Price per linear metre given will give a closer representation of true cost for Solid Surfaces than with stone products. Typical cutouts (1 sink & 1 hob) cost around £54.60 when purchased through Worktops.org.
Cost of extras
Extras such as breakfronts, upstands and cutouts are charged at a reasonable rate, owing to the flexibility of the material. Upstands are typically charged at around 10-22% of the material linear metre cost.
Granite Worktop Prices
Granite worktops are a timeless choice, exhibiting elegance and class with stunning natural designs. Extremely tough and dense, Granite tops undergo specialist stone-working to match your kitchens’ specification exactly before they are installed.
Granite Material Pricing
While Granite is often considered a premium material, our exclusive sourcing of high quality ex-stock materials means that we can offer a large range of massively reduced styles. Because of the limited stocks available, Granite worktops are among the most affordable options we stock. Prices start at just £19.48, increasing to £169.55 per linear metre. Granite worktops can range in thickness from slimline 20mm up to thick 40mm. Thicker materials will have a higher cost.
Granite Fabrication Costs
Granite requires specialised machinery to create the luxury worktops available through Worktops.org. Because of this, the manufacturing costs are much higher. A typical installation consisting of one overmounted sink cutout, one recessed hob cutout, and one tap-hole costs £201.30 when purchased through Worktops.org.
Cost of extras
Extras such as breakfronts, upstands and cutouts are each afforded a high duty of care throughout production. Cutouts can either be left rough (for overmounted sinks) or polished; as can the underside of your worktop. Producing upstands in Granite is much more difficult than other materials, and so these are more expensive. You can expect to add between 25-40% of your linear metre cost for full upstands.
Quartz Worktop Prices
Quartz worktops are the result of a highly refined manufacturing process. This process takes the strength of natural Quartz, adding resins and binders to create beautiful, consistent and hardwearing designs
Quartz Material Pricing
We source our quartz with exclusive access to inventories of ex-stock and overstocked lines from some of the biggest names in Quartz worktop manufacture. Big brands such as Silestone typically cost from £400-£900 per linear metre at retail prices. At Worktops.org, you can find a huge range of styles from just £31.66 to £209.45 per linear metre. Quartz worktops can range in thickness from slimline 15mm up to thick 40mm. Thicker materials will have a higher cost.
Quartz Fabrication Costs
Quartz worktops are extremely hard, and require specialised machinery to manufacture. Because Quartz has a similar hardness to Granite, many of the costs are identical. A typical installation consisting of one overmounted sink cutout, one recessed hob cutout, and one tap-hole costs £201.30 when purchased through Worktops.org.
Cost of extras
Cutouts such as extra tapholes, breakfronts and edge details are charged at the same rate as Granite worktops. Quartz however does have an advantage because it is held together with resin binders. While Granite can be susceptible to cracking, and may have weak points which are unsuitable for upstands; Quartz is relatively homogeneous. This means that Quartz upstands should typically cost between 20-30% of your linear metre cost.
